   Generate your power via solar panel or wind generator and charge or store in batteries as DC current and then use appropriate inventer to send the electric current to you house in the correct voltage and amps
   via electrical panel hookup.

   If you plan on generating power via a wind turbine or a solar array, and selling it to the power company, you need the permission of the power company in your area. Not all allow this. Plus you need some expensive electronics that the power company will sell you that synchronizes your power with their power.

   So it’s not worth doing unless you plan on generating a lot of power, like 10kW or more.

   otherwise, you need lots of batteries, inverters and charge controllers to generate the AC voltage, and a separate set of wiring for your house, and/or switches to switch outlets between power company and solar/wind.

   Typically, the “grid” doesn’t refer to the house, but rather everything between all interconnected houses, industrys, and generators.

   To live completely off the grid is one thing. To interconnect them so that you can supplement your house requires a transfer switch, to prevent electrical workers from being zapped when they turn off the lines for repairs. To interconnect them so you can sell back to the grid requires a transfer switch, and synchronizers.

   The easiest thing to do is generate electricity on a separate branch that is not connected to the grid - and use it for a few select appliances - charge some batteries from a wind turbine, then run your tv from only the batteries.

   You can generate energy by wind turbines, solar panels,biogas plants but before connecting to grid,you have to match the voltage, frequency and phase sequence.May be U require permission from your electric supply company.Matching the above parameters and connecting is known as synchronizing with the grid.
