Have you heard of the prediction of a solar flare that will destroy the electric grid in 2012?

The infrastructure and millions will be dead by then many environmentalists may really be hoping this actually happens.

we don’t know if it is gonna rain tomorrow but we know a solar flare is coming in 2012?
sure.
Well……..its been good to know ya.
Wow.
More “news” from the National Inquisitor. :0)
It won’t matter. None of us will be able to afford lights anyway.
Do you have a source, Sick Freak? or are you just using Y/A as a venue to spew and spread panic?
well, if the world ends BEFORE that happens, then i’m not gonna worry about it.
Is this the same guy that predicts when the world is going to end?? Because that guy has been wrong numerous times through the years.
Not very likely:
Predicting solar flares has been problematic. At best, we can predict when their activity tends to increase, but we cannot predict where they will strike, when they will strike, or their intensity.
I hope! That would be a good chance to march everyone into FEMA camps. They can cry, “terrorist attack” and the sheep will just march right in. I personally wish that they would just get it over with as I am sick of hearing these environmentalists whine about your electricity use as they are using an I-Pod that runs off of a 4-hour USB charge.
Yes, Obama needs to fire the CEO of the sun.
BS you can’t predict a solar flare that far in the future. The only thing worse than somebody misinterpreting the facts, is somebody making them up.
Even at that, you don’t understand Physics,, and night and day
2012 is the solar maximum and the most likely time this will occur. It’s still lower then a 1% chance though. Also this would not be a global breakdown. A solar flare hit earth in the early 1900s, the effects were localized to Canada and Northeastern areas of the United States.
As far as being a Christian - might it not possibly be the Best Day in Our Lives.
I do not like the idea of Millions Dead! Too Sad!
Peace to All and God Bless! Jane.
Yes i have heard about it. I wouldn’t worry about it. You might want to though.
I’ve heard that more as a wargame scenario, on a TV movie. It had been kicked around in the scientific community as a theoretical “maybe”, and some TV executive apparently overheard the discussion at a dinner party. (my cousin was at the party).
Like George Carlin said, everyone loves a natural disaster. Bring it on!
Nope
But those same environmentalists will be singing a different tune if it does go dark.
